The capacity of the restaurant is 60 indoor seats (40 seats in the restaurant and 20 seats in the private dining room) and 40 outdoor seats (on the main terrace and small side terrace).
In our restaurant, we offer Slovak traditional home-cooked meals, in a slightly untraditional way. When cooking, we follow our motto ‘just like in the old days’. We are committed to preparing all meals fresh right at the chalet without using any semi-finished products.
In the menu, you will find traditional Slovak dishes such as ‘bryndzové halušky’ (traditional Slovak gnocchi with sheep cheese and bacon), ‘strapačky’ (traditional Slovak gnocchi with sour cabbage), and ‘makové šúľance’ (traditional Slovak noodles with poppy seeds and icing sugar), as well as a number of unconventional food pairings with sheep’s cheese tartare, or various ways of wild game preparation.
Top off your culinary experience with our selection of beverages. During the hot summer days, you can refresh yourself with a cold drink or try Slovak craft beer on tap. In winter, it is our mission to keep you warm, internally as well as externally – designated drivers are no exception.
Do you have a sweet tooth? Then try our homemade desserts, baked according to our grandmother’s recipe. For those who prefer a healthy treat, we’ve got a homemade fitness bar in store that’s packed with fibre and energy.
There is no better way to finish your meal than with the perfect cup of coffee. That’s right, at the Magurka Chalet even die-hard coffee drinkers will find something to their taste, as they can enjoy freshly roasted coffee beans from a Slovak roastery.
For large groups of guests (e.g., students on a school camp), we prepare meals according to your requirements and in accordance with the generally binding legal regulations.
Private dining room
Within the restaurant there is a cosy dining room suitable for intimate events, private parties, company gatherings, and team buildings, of up to 25 people.
Special diets
If you have special dietary requirements, please let us know well in advance and we will make sure all your dietary restrictions are accounted for. For example, we trained to prepare gluten-free meals.
GRILL PACKAGE
Experience the ‘just like the old days’ atmosphere at the Magurka Chalet at the evening campfire, surrounded by the sound of crackling wood and vibrant tones of guitar strings.
The grill package contains BBQ mix (300 g): homemade sausage (or kids’ sausage), bacon, bread and sauce of your choice (ketchup, horseradish, mustard).
If you purchase the grill package, you will be guaranteed free access to the barbecue area and provided with wood for barbecue free of charge.
HIKING SNACK PACKAGE
A proper snack is a must on every good hike. Order a hiking snack package at our restaurant in advance and set off on your adventure ready to explore the mountains.
The hiking snack package contains fried pork schnitzel (120 g), 2 slices of bread, garnish, 0.5 L mineral water, Horalka biscuit, fruit.
