Our chalet is not located in any well-known resort. There are no extra attractions around. But we can promise you the rustle of trees, sounds of nature and real darkness with a starry sky at night.

And if you need digital detox, we are ready turn off the wi-fi Internet signal on request. Forget your duties, clear your mind and get rid of stress. The area around our chalet is rich in options and we will be happy to help you choose where to go.

A tourist chalet, as we see it, is of clean and simple standard with home-made kitchen. Magurka should be your base for enjoying trips to nature, great adventures and unforgettable memories. And a place that you will look forward to coming back again in the evening.

There are tourist trails for families with kids, beginners as well as experienced hikers, cycle routes for brave spirits. The most difficult routes can be mastered easily with electric bikes that can be hired in our chalet. We can guarantee you won’t be pushing your way through crowds of tourists here. In winter, our area is perfect for ski touring or snowshoeing along marked winter trails. Ski pistes are a stone’s throw away, just beyond the surrounding hills if you feel like skiing.

Enjoy a peaceful evening without a four-lane road on your doorstep, relax in a wooden tub in the open air or use our gazebo fire pit to make barbeque. Our kitchen will be happy to offer some ingredients if you need. Just ask the staff. Larger groups can book ingredients in advance.

There is nobody to organise activities at our chalet and rush you to do something constantly. We won’t shower your kids with 300 plastic toys either. Don’t expect a TV remote control in your room. But we do have a huge meadow just opposite our chalet, with a playground that no kid will resist trying and stunning scenery with a diagonal and a contrast which no technical devices can offer.

The main road runs to our chalet from Liptovská Lúžna or Partizánska Ľupča up to the crossroads of Tajch, where a guidepost shows the direction to Magurka along a comfortable asphalt road.

Tourists without cars can get to Magurka as follows:

  • By bus to Liptovská Lúžná to the final stop and from there along a road to the Prievalec saddle, a green marked trail crosses the road behind the saddle and runs from Mt Salatín through the settlement of Železnô up to Magurka – 1 hour.

Trails running from the main ridge of the Low Tatras to Magurka:

  • From the Latiborská hoľa saddle along a blue marked trail – 1:10 hrs
  • From the Zámostská hoľa saddle along a yellow marked trail – 1 hr
  • Above the Ďurková saddle over Mt Mestská hora along a green marked trail – 1:30 hrs
  • From Mt Salatín – about 2 hrs
