The fastest option is to travel by car, motorbike or bike along a public road. Either from the village of Partizánska Ľupča located near Bešeňová (about 14 km) or from the village of Liptovská Osada in the direction of Liptovská Lúžna (19 km), which is on the main connecting line between Banská Bystrica and Ružomberok. The option on foot is possible as well – through Ľupčianska dolina (valley) from Partizánska Ľupča, from Železné (e.g. if you descend from Mt Salatín) or from the main ridge of the Low Tatras. If you choose the main ridge, use the trail marked green (Ďurková), yellow (saddle of Zámostská hoľa) or blue (saddle of Latiborská hoľa).

The Magurka chalet (1050 m a.s.l.) is located in the Low Tatras National Park, on the northern side at the foot of the main ridge of the Low Tatras, in the area between Mt Ďurková and Mt Zámostská hoľa. The former mining settlement of Magurka, where our chalet was built, is part of the village territory of Partizánska Ľupča.

The accommodation price includes 1 night/person, bedclothes, towels and breakfast. The local charge for clients staying in the area (EUR 0.60 /person/night), which goes to the village of Partizánska Ľupča, is not included. It will be added to your accommodation price.

To have your booking confirmed, 100% of the expected accommodation price is required. The payment can be made by bank transfer or by depositing the amount into our bank account. An advance invoice is issued once you book a specific date. In case the number of guest changes the difference between the advance payment and the final price has to be paid at the chalet when checking in. Corporate clients and legal entities can have an invoice issued as an alternative to their cash register receipt if they ask.

The Magurka chalet accepts cashless payment by using all standard payment cards such as Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro. However, we suggest having CASH as well because you never know if modern technologies don’t let us or you down. Gift cards and meal vouchers are not accepted.

Every booking becomes binding once the advance payment is credited to our bank account.

The advance payment has to be made when booking, which makes the booking binding. The remainder has to be paid when checking in in case of changed number of guests.

Any reservation can be cancelled, no problem. Please follow the general accommodation rules when cancelling.

If you cannot come, please contact our reception as soon as possible. The advance payment (100% of the price) shall be forfeited in favour of our chalet if you cancel your reservation after the given cancellation period expires. Each attic higher-standard room offers an ensuite sanitary facility (shower, toilet, washbasin), towels, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a hanger for jackets and a shoe cabinet. On the ground floor there are family rooms, which also offer full comfort with their equipment. Each family room has its own bathroom. Our rooms have different capacities. There are bedside tables with lamps, a couch and water glasses in each room.

Breakfast is included in the room prices, dinner can be booked extra. Our restaurant has a menu based on which you can order during the opening times. Lunch can be booked e.g. for a celebration, a wedding or another bigger event by phone or by email.

Your car can be parked at the Magurka chalet (on public land) or on a private chalet land.

Of course, kids are welcome. Kids up to 4 years can stay for free with us.

Yes, but it must be trained to know basic hygiene habits, not to pollute the chalet interior and exterior with excrements and it has to be treated by a vet (standard care such as mandatory and recommended vaccination against regular diseases, regular flea, gastrointestinal and other parasite prevention). The chalet operator or any other authorised employee is entitled to check the vaccination record book or PET-pass for this purpose. The surcharge for a pet is EUR 5 / night.

Clients who stay for more than 8 nights can use benefits of our loyalty programme and get discounts on accommodation, meals and drinks.


Yes, if you let us know in advance. We are ready to cook for bigger groups based on their requirements or based on generally binding regulations (e.g. for learning school groups).

Yes, we do that often.

Yes, we offer a simple kid’s corner that you will use only in bad weather because there is a huge “natural kid’s corner” outside – nature around our chalet.

Restaurant opening times:

Monday – Thursday 9:00 – 20:00, Friday-Saturday 8:00 – 22:00, Sunday 8:00 – 20:00.

The kitchen is opened until 19:30.

7:30 – 9:30 hod.

Cash payment as well as standard payment cards such as Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard or Maestro are accepted. Gift cards and meal vouchers are not accepted.

No, we don’t accept meal vouchers but you can pay cash or use standard payment cards.

Your car can be parked at the Magurka chalet (on public land). There is also private land where 10-12 cars can park.

Yes, WIFI is at disposal and available to restaurant clients for free.

Yes, we have a lounge for about 25 people. Bigger groups can hire our restaurant if needed.

Min. 10 people, the maximum chalet capacity is about 50 people. We will be happy to arrange other private accommodation for larger groups at our partner facilities in the Magurka village. They are all just a stone’s throw away.

Due to organisational reasons, every corporate or other event has to be booked at least 4 days in advance.

Yes, we can arrange everything that you need so that you don’t have to care for anything.

Yes, it is. The advance payment amount and payment method can be arranged individually with every corporate client.

Foreign clients are welcome at our chalet. Besides tge Slovak language, our staff can speak English, German and Italian.

In the case of corporate clients, we accept cash payment (in the maximum amount of EUR 1000 including VAT + cash register receipt), bank transfer or standard payment cards such as Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard or Maestro.

School groups

Min. 10 pupils, the total chalet capacity is about 50 people.

Due to organisational reasons, rooms for school group learning have to be booked at least 1 week in advance.

Meals are offered 5 x day: breakfast, elevenses, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner. The menu can be arranged in advance, prior to arrival.

If you wish, we can arrange animators to organise activities for you as an extra service.

In the case of school groups, we accept cash payment (in the maximum amount of EUR 5000 including VAT if the school is not a VAT payer), bank transfer or standard payment cards such as Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard or Maestro.

Other questions

WIFI Internet connection is available in the whole chalet. It is free of charge for chalet guests and restaurant clients.

There is a kid’s playground at the Magurka chalet. Our guests can use a gazebo with a fire pit and wood for grilling. We offer a special Grill package. An outdoor tub with warm water can be hired too. If you plan to do some hiking, we can make a special tourist lunch package for you. In addition to all that, our chalet sells fresh home-baked rolls and bread.

In the case of any damage to the chalet or equipment, our general accommodation rules apply. Any damage must be reimbursed to the chalet operator by the person who has caused it.

Smoking is strictly forbidden in the Magurka chalet. All rooms are non-smoking. Only designated spots outside (with ashtrays) can be used for smoking.

If you come in winter, please note that you will be driving in alpine terrain which can be covered with show from November to March. So we suggest having snow chains in your car just in chase. They might be helpful on icy roads.
